Voted one of the top 5 news apps by Apple in 2011, Stitcher turns your iPhone or iPad into a custom radio station by streaming your personalized selection of podcasts, live broadcasts, and on-demand content from more than 5000 sources — including many of the top programs from NPR, BBC, CNN, Fox and others. It’s a handy tool to have to access to, especially if you frequently travel where there is no direct Internet connection or traditional radio available.One of the great things about Stitcher Radio is that it’s really free — not masquerading as free with subscription fees lurking in the fine print.
