As I wrote back in March, machine-to-machine (M2M) communications will soon be a major focus for device makers and others with a stake in the mobile point of care. Now Sprint, which launched its Emerging Solutions Group in October 2009, is claiming considerable success in this field, having certified more than 300 non-Sprint branded M2M and embedded devices for use on the Sprint network. Recent partnerships with the Alzheimer’s Association and others underscore the company’s efforts to achieve this goal.
